I am a Ph.D. student visiting the Ruhi Lab from Chalmers University of Technology (Sweden). I am interested in sustainable urban drainage systems–in particular, in assessing to what extent stormwater ponds can support aquatic biodiversity. This requires studying a number of environmental factors such as pollution levels in the sediments and water column. Ultimately, I hope to provide recommendations that assist in designing stormwater ponds so that these systems can provide multiple ecosystem services simultaneously.
