The Philip Knorr Prize in Forestry
This fund supports a prize in forestry at CNR. The purpose of the prize is to attract the best scholars to the field of forestry in order to enhance the forestry profession and forestry education. Financial need is not a criterion.
The prize will be awarded to students who, at the completion of their junior year and summer camp, have the highest grade point averages for forestry and related coursework. The grade point average will be calculated for work done in the summer camp and junior year ONLY. The precise coursework criteria will be determined by the forestry faculty selection committee.
Prizes of equal amounts, as determined by available funds, are awarded within the last three weeks of the first semester of the recipients' senior year. The number of prizes may not exceed four students.
All gifts to CNR are tax-deductible to the extent of the law.
