First, do you know where bubble gum was first sold? On a chew-chew train! Haha! (Feel free to groan/roll your eyes.)

Coming to Berkeley was overwhelming for me. I wanted to get involved with the campus, but I had no idea how to do that, and it was difficult to find people with similar interests. I felt a little lost. But then I went to one of the CNR socials, and that's where it all came together. These were my fellow nature-lovers; this was why I was in CNR. After that, Berkeley just made more sense.

Now that I am older and (possibly) wiser, I feel that it's time to help others discover their own niches while they're here. There are so many clubs and organizations to choose from that it can be over-stimulating and confusing. That's one of the reasons I became a PAL-- I feel that I have already found my own gems and want to help others do the same.

As a double major, I know all about fulfilling requirements and managing schedules. I've even freaked out a few times about graduating on time, and I don't think that's too uncommon. No one is ever completely relaxed about coursework. But with a little bit of studying and some mental health activities (Doctor Who and ice cream), I know I can handle anything. Time to finish strong!

If you ever want to just vent to somebody about a midterm, talk about trees, or hear a bad pun, please come by and chit-chat with me! I'd love to hear your story and see what you've discovered at Cal. Bye for now!
