Though we may come from different backgrounds, groups, and departments, each of us has the potential to impact our surrounding food systems. The Berkeley Food Institute invites you to our Welcoming Open House on Wednesday, October 5th, 5:00-6:30 PM. We will introduce key leaders of BFI – including staff, faculty, and fellows – and provide a brief history of the institute and its activities and services for graduate and undergraduate students. We will also discuss avenues for students to become more engaged with food activities on campus, including the new Food Systems Minor. Open to all undergraduates, Masters, and PhD students, this food-focused event is designed to convene a diversity of students, to connect existing groups, and to provide a space for inclusive dialogue about students’ interests, priorities, and needs.
