Friday, October 21, 2016 | 12:00pm - 1:00pm

Mulford 260

Around 800 goats show up on campus every year. Click here to see a Youtube Clip! What does this influx of voracious herbivores mean for Cal and surrounding communities? Come join Professor Lynn Huntsinger in her discussion about the ecological and social dimensions of goat grazing on our hillsides, and the types of research that help us understand the relationship between grazing animals and landscape in California and the world. Dr. Huntsinger is Professor of rangeland ecology and management at UCB. Her research focuses on the conservation and management of rangelands, particularly the interaction of social and ecological systems in working landscapes in the western United States, China, and southern Europe.
