Bring the whole family for a guided tour with the Botanical Garden's Education Director through one of the world's largest collections of California native plants. Our walk on the "Indian Trail" will explore the creative ways California Indians have used native plants in their everyday lives for food, shelter, tools, fiber, medicine, even music, toys and games. At each plant stop, we'll examine (and sometimes try!) replicas of Indian artifacts as we discover the plant knowledge, customs, and skills of California’s earliest peoples. At the end, we'll make a cattail cordage bracelet to take home.
