EU Climate Leadership Post Paris

What can be expected from the EU and its member states in a time of internal turmoil and external challenges? How far along is the project of a European energy transition and what priority does energy efficiency and renewable energy take in the outgoing Juncker commission? What hope can be placed on the still new French president and what is emerging in Germany?

Max Gruenig is the President of Ecologic Institute US and has been with Ecologic Institute since 2007. His work focuses on sustainable development in the energy and transport sector, as well as urban sustainability and resilient cities. In particular, he is leading the efforts by Ecologic Institute in the Future of Energy Exchange (EFEX) and the Emerging Leaders in Environmental and Energy Policy Network (ELEEP). He is also coordinating the three Post-Carbon Cities ion Tomorrow (POCACITO) projects.
