I'm from:
I was born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida. I earned my B.S. degree in Food Science and Human Nutrition at University of Florida
What brought me here:
I followed my fiance across the country to the Bay Area and was extremely lucky to begin attending graduate school the day we moved here! At UC Berkeley I peruse my interest in disease-related metabolism and nutritional genomics.
Current stage in program:
4th year Metabolic Biology Ph.D. Candidate, Andreas Stahl Lab
Outside of lab I love:
reading novels, especially classics. I like to do anything outside like biking, hiking, climbing, running, and laying. I like to make things like bags and jewelry cards. Also, I like to watch college football. Sorry Cal, but when it comes to football, I'll be a Gator forever!
