I'm from:
I was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma but mostly grew up in Seoul, South Korea.
What brought me here:
Studying nutrition at Seoul National University, I enjoyed exploring the metabolic pathways and how the components in our diet come into play in these pathways. After experiencing the research environment at Purdue as an exchange student, I wanted to be fully involved in research. The research atmosphere at Berkeley felt just right for me and here I am!
Current stage in program:
4th year Metabolic Biology Ph.D. Candidate, Danica Chen Lab
Outside of lab I love:
enjoying the nature while going to the beach, woods, mountain and so on. I also like cooking, exploring good restaurants, doing yoga, playing tennis.
