At the Rausser College of Natural Resources, we care about every moment. Moments of discovery, moments of inspiration, and moments of learning are at the heart of the Rausser College experience. These are the moments that shape the lives of our students and inform the kind of impact they will make in the world.
Cal’s 24 hour fundraising effort, Big Give, is back and we are encouraging our entire community to give in support of making these moments possible for everyone. Over the past year, we deepened our commitment to equity and inclusion by:
- Expanding our summer internship grants for low-income students who are pursuing work that fosters greater social equity and inclusion
- Appointing Associate Professor Isha Ray as the College’s first Associate Dean for Equity and Inclusion, beginning July 1, 2020
- Leading a campus-wide cluster hire for Climate Equity and Justice and participating in the Life Sciences Faculty Diversity Initiative
- Funding student created groups, such as the Students of Color Environmental Collective, to provide mentorship opportunities and community-building events
Your support extends opportunities to students who lack the resources to participate in internships or experiential learning opportunities, and it strengthens Rausser College’s commitment to equity of experiences. We hope you will support current and future equity and inclusion efforts by:
