Climate Equity and Environmental Justice Roundtable

The Climate Equity and Environmental Justice (CEEJ) Roundtable is a multidisciplinary group of scholars dedicated to advancing research on human-induced climate change and the disparate impact it has on marginalized, racialized, and underrepresented groups. The group is comprised of faculty in the social and environmental sciences, public health, engineering, city and regional planning, and landscape architecture. 

College of Natural Rainbows

Founded in 2019, the CNRainbows is an informal group that creates a much-needed community among RCNR’s queer faculty and staff. The group gathers regularly to sustain and celebrate each other. CNR Queer Coalition

The Rausser College CNR Queer Coalition aims to foster a safe and welcoming community for Queer RCNR graduate students of all identities. Join the group’s Facebook group—which will serve as a repository of events, resources, and announcement, or contact Ryan Kenneally or Vanessa Komada to get involved.

Students of Color Environmental Collective

SCEC is a group intended to be a healing space for students of color to seek refuge from white-dominated environmental and social justice spaces, to learn more about the intersections between environmental and social justice, and to raise conversation about environmental racism and justice on and off campus. 

Latinxs and the Environment

The Latinxs and the Environment Initiative seeks to establish a comprehensive program designed to generate knowledge and encourage increased study and research on Latinxs and the environment—both in the U.S. and abroad—with the coordinated participation of policy makers, community based organizations (CBOs), and the academic community.

Inclusion and Anti-Racism in the Classroom Tool

A course redesign tool developed by the UC Berkeley Department of Environmental Science, Policy, and Management in partnership with the UC Berkeley Center for Teaching and Learning, which aims to support instructors in developing anti-racist approaches to course design and teaching practices.

ESPM Graduate Diversity Council

The ESPM Graduate Diversity Council (GDC) is a graduate student group with a vested interest in the continued diversification of the students and faculty of the Department of Environmental Science, Policy, and Management.

PMB Diversity Committee

The Plant and Microbial Department’s Diversity Committee is composed of faculty, graduate students, and postdocs. The group’s mission is to intentionally foster institutional equity, diversity, and inclusion by creating educational opportunities, raising awareness, and providing strategies and tools to bring to life the vision of inclusive excellence, at faculty, staff, graduate, and undergraduate levels. 

Rausser College Anti-Racism Action Alliance

The Rausser College Anti-Racism Action Alliance's mission is to create a learning community where all are welcome to participate and share knowledge and skills around anti-racism work; to form a community of individuals, within RCNR and UC Berkeley, committed to one’s own personal transformation while taking action to organize our communities over time. Nutritional Sciences & Toxicology DEI Committee

The Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Committee catalyzes the departmental efforts to increase the recruitment and support of diverse students, staff, and faculty; to ensure nondiscrimination in its programs and activities; to promote a culture of equity and inclusion that supports diversity; and to implement best practices that are inclusive for persons marginalized and discriminated against because of their ethnicity, race, nationality, sex, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity and/or expression, age, religion, family structure or relationships, or economic status.
