Rausser College of Natural Resources has released a new Strategic Plan detailing its mission, priorities, and objectives for the next five years.
Introduced by Dean David Ackerly during yesterday’s State of the College talk, the document includes a refreshed mission statement that reflects the College’s academic mission and core values. The Plan also identifies five overarching College priorities and their associated strategic objectives and actions.
The objective of the yearlong planning process was to assess the College’s shared intellectual and educational mission and identify priorities for improvement and growth in order to ensure the continued success of the College. The process engaged with both internal and external audiences and stakeholders in Rausser College, including a strategic planning committee, campus leadership, department and dean’s office leadership, the College advisory board, and topical working groups including faculty, staff, and students.
“This was a shared and collective effort,” Ackerly said. “I have enormous appreciation and gratitude for the people who contributed ideas, provided feedback, and helped shape the final Plan.”
