Nine Rausser College faculty have been named among the most cited individuals in their respective fields, according to a new report from analytics firm Clarivate.
Published annually, Clarivate’s Highly Cited Researchers list highlights scientists who have made a profound impact in their fields through the publication of numerous highly-cited papers over the past decade. For the 2024 edition, Clarivate recognized 6,636 individuals from across 59 countries and regions with the designation. The list includes 52 faculty members and affiliates from UC Berkeley.
Researchers chosen for the 2024 list have authored studies that rank in the top 1% in the number of scholarly citations worldwide, according to the list’s methodology.

- Professor Dan Nomura, Department of Nutritional Sciences & Toxicology
- Professor Scott Stephens, ESPM
- Professor John Taylor, PMB
Also included are UC Berkeley faculty member Edward Miguel, an affiliate of the Department of Agricultural and Resource Economics and director of the Center for Effective Global Action, and Professor Emerit Claire Kremen.
