Required Safety Training
After obtaining approval for your project from the greenhouse manager, please schedule an in-person safety training below.
The California Department of Pesticide Regulation requires all people working around pesticides in an agricultural setting to go through worker protection standard training. A greenhouse staff member will go over site-specific procedures and protective practices in this half-hour, in person training. Pesticide Application
Pesticide application is provided by greenhouse staff on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 6:00pm to 10:00pm on most weeks. For this reason, sprayed greenhouse rooms are closed on Wednesday and Thursday nights. Please consult the chart below to find whiteboard locations listing rooms sprayed. In addition, biological control (beneficial organisms) is also regularly dispersed.
Pest control will be applied at the greenhouse manager’s discretion based on regular scouting, however if you have specific needs for your plants, please contact the manager directly.
