CNR DeCal Start-Up Workshop
Are you planning on facilitating a DeCal in Fall 2017 or do you have a new DeCal class in mind? Any student who has not facilitated a CNR DeCal in previous semesters or plans to facilitate a CNR DeCal that has never been offered before will be required to attend a "StartUp Workshop" hosted by the Student Learning Center. This specific workshop is offered for students specifically interested in facilitating CNR DeCals. If you cannot make it to this workshop, please attend other Spring workshops that you find here (http://slc.berkeley.edu/startup-workshops). Students should contact firstname.lastname@example.org if they cannot make it to any of the scheduled sessions.

2017 Medical School Applicant Bootcamp
Calling all pre-meds preparing to apply-- This is YOUR bootcamp! Attend the 2017 Medical School Applicant Bootcamp to set yourself up for success this application cycle. Pre-Health Advisors will provide an overview of the application timeline, a step-by-step review of the AMCAS primary application (including tips & tricks), and advice on how to: send transcripts and letters of recommendation; classify courses; select schools; succeed on secondaries; ace your interviews & more! We will also welcome guest speakers, including admissions representatives from medical schools and UC Berkeley applicants who have successfully navigated the application process and will start med school in fall 2017.Although geared toward intended 2017 applicants, those preparing to apply in a future year are also welcome to get an in-depth look into the application process.

MCAT Challenge Event
Kaplan is hosting an MCAT Challenge Event!
The free MCAT Challenge will be held on Tuesday, April 18th at 3 PM in Mulford Hall 240.
During the presentation, you will :
● Learn how the MCAT exam is designed and scored
● Take a 20 min MCAT Challenge quiz
● Learn how you can prepare for the exam
● Receive a discount for a Kaplan GRE Course

CNR Research Poster Session
Want to learn about the fabulous research projects your CNR peers are participating in? Stop by to talk to your peers about the varied research programs and projects they’ve been involved in, and leave inspired to pursue your own research endeavors. Come by Giannini Lobby on Friday, April 21, 2017 or the GPB Lawn on Saturday, April 22, 2017 from 11:30-1pm to see your fellow classmates' research projects. Refreshments will be provided!

How can we better communicate science to the public?
Come to Science Talk at Cal, a student-organized conference featuring panel discussions with renowned speakers from the fields of water, food systems, and climate change, plus collaborative workshops to help bring your science communication ideas to the next level. The conference will focus on the challenges of communicating science to the public and strategies to overcome those challenges. Attendees will have the opportunity to break up into small working groups to apply the strategies they learned from the panels to their own project.
