Officer Announcements

• Alegra is the president (still)

  • There is a facebook page, please post if you’re doing anything social/hiking/camping etc and want to invite people.

  • Discussion panel with other groups?

    • Hannah: free speech week (September 25th - 27th)?

      • ACLU has reserved west crescent lawn and campanile from 9 - 9 everyday to set up events with other student groups?

      • Maybe we could do something with other environmental groups on campus?

• Bean Feed

  • Might have to move to the 27th because we can’t find a faculty sponsor for the alcohol permit

• Treasurer (Andrew)

  • Dues are due ($5)

• SAF (Ben)

  • is coming up very soon!

• Camping (Ben)

  • Was planned for October 20th/21st (high probability of it being foggy and wet)

  • Standish Hickey Campground (Halfway between us and Humboldt)

    • 3 hours away, is that too far

    • $20 a night per campsite?  (not that expensive)

    • Elizabeth is concerned about the number of banana slugs

SAF

• Bay area SAF has reached out and asked us if we need anything from them

  • Do we need any instruction?  Want them to come talk to us about SAF and the benefits?  Jobs?  Etc

Logging Sports III

• Ladies only practice Saturday October 14th

• Bearclave is on october 7th!!!

  • Please sign up to volunteer (email sent out to everybody)!  We need as many people as we can

  • Need volunteers on Friday and Saturday all day

    • Just sign up for as much as you can, even if it’s only an hour or two it helps

Xmas Tree Cut (Kathie)

• A really fun event where we go cut down christmas trees to sell so that we can send people to SAF

• Higher elevation?  We would need to store it and maybe sell it earlier?

  • Consensus is keeping to the regular schedule (Dec 1, 2)
