Topic 1 Xi Sigma Pi

               Scott Stephens comes in to talk to us about Xi Sigma Pi which is the forestry honour society which recognizes outstanding forestry people. Eligible if you are a forestry major and have a 3.0 GPA. There is a certificate and you need to carve an axe and then get it signed by 10 members.

• So every semester we pay dues of 5 dollars to club and that covers the cost of bean feeds and lets you be an official member of the Club so give Ben 5 dollars and he’ll write down that you paid dues.

Ben wants a quiz bowl team on 4 of our sharpest students. One of them may be a graduate student.

Noam asks if Danny wants to be the grad student? Danny says he is not going.

Noam realizes that's okay because Rachelle's going and she has Emily on her side. 

Anyone who is in 185 right now would be good because you are learning about silviculture and quizbowl material is silviculture heavy.

Reflecting upon the joint bean feed and CRS potluck, Noam says he very much likes the idea of building a community of sustainibility minded students.
